Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Amazing Life Vault (“ALV”, “we”, “us”) operates this website and a family of related recommendation sites (together, the “Sites”). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email privacy@amazinglifevault.com.
Information we collect
- Visitor identifier (cookie). We set a first-party cookie named
alv_visitor_id(a random ID, stored for up to 1 year). We use it to remember your visit, attribute outbound link clicks to our content, and assign you consistently to content experiments (A/B tests). It does not contain your name, email, or any account data, and we do not use it for cross-site advertising. - Email address. Only if you choose to subscribe to our newsletter. We use it to send the content you asked for; every email includes a working unsubscribe link.
- Usage analytics. We use privacy-focused, cookie-light analytics to count page views and understand which content helps readers. We do not build cross-site advertising profiles.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the Sites.
- To measure which recommendations and page designs are most useful (A/B testing).
- To attribute clicks on outbound retailer links so we can understand which content earns affiliate commissions. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
- To send newsletter email you have requested.
Affiliate links and third parties
When you click a link to a retailer or affiliate network, you leave our Sites. Those third parties may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We may receive aggregate or pseudonymous reporting (e.g., that a click resulted in a purchase) so commissions can be paid; we do not receive your payment details.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Sites ~ hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics vendors ~ under agreements that limit their use of it, or where required by law.
Data retention
The visitor cookie expires after 1 year. Click-attribution records are kept as long as needed for commission reconciliation and aggregate reporting. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and similar laws)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@amazinglifevault.com. You can also clear or block our cookies at any time ~ see the Cookie Notice.
Children
The Sites are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Sites evolve. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, post a notice on this page.
